Meeting with the True Guru, I have found the Immaculate Lord; I shall not be consigned to this terrifying world-ocean ever again. ||3||

Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa

In plain words

I am Yours, and the three worlds are Yours too. You are mine, and I am Yours.

Meeting the True Guru, I have found the spotless One. I will not be thrown into the frightening ocean of the world again.

Belonging fully to the One brings you to calm water.
The deeper layer

You belong to the One, and the One belongs to you.

Ham thaaray taribhavan jag tumraa — I am Yours, and the three worlds are Yours too. Too mayraa ha-o tayraa — You are mine, and I am Yours. It goes both ways, like a child and a parent who simply belong to each other.

Satgur mili-ai niranjan paa-i-aa — meeting the True Guru, I found niranjan, the spotless One. Bahur na bhavjal fayraa — no more rounds on the bhavjal, the rough world-ocean. Instead of being tossed about like a small boat, the heart reaches calm water.

A Question to Sit With

What makes you feel safe and calm when things around you feel rough?
