Remembering the Sovereign King, I have found peace. Rain down, cloud that brings peace!
Stay close to the One you love, and you grow alike, and peace rains down.
This is the rahaa-o, the "pause" line, the center of the shabad. Ab apnay pareetam si-o ban aa-ee: now I have become one with my Beloved, grown alike. We grow like what we love.
Raajaa raam ramat sukh paa-i-o: remembering Raam, the Sovereign King, I found peace. Baras maygh sukh-daa-ee: rain down, peace-giving cloud. The Malaar rain is in the pause line itself. The soul is already at home, and still it welcomes the rain.
