I cannot forget Him, even for an instant; He is the Ocean of peace. Through the Naam, the Name of the Lord, I have obtained the nine treasures.

My perfect destiny has been activated, meeting with the Saints, my help and support. ||1||

Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa

In plain words

Not for a single moment do I forget the One, the Ocean of peace. Through the Naam, I have found all nine treasures.

My full good fortune has woken up, and I have met the saints, my helpers and support.

Keep what matters close and you carry every treasure with you.
The deeper layer

Remember the One every moment, and the Naam holds every treasure.

Ik pal bisrat nahee sukh saagar: not for a moment do I forget the Ocean of peace. Remembering becomes as easy as breathing. Navai niDh, the nine treasures, an old picture of every kind of wealth, are found in the Naam.

Udout bha-i-o pooran bhaavee ko: my full good fortune woke up, like a door swinging open. Bhaytay sant sahaa-ee: I met the saints, my helpers.

A Question to Sit With

What is something you never want to forget, no matter how busy you get?
