That Sikh who becomes Gurmukh obtains it. The Creator blesses him with His Glance of Grace. ||3||

Day and night, the Naam of the One is the profit I gain. The Guru, the Giver, gives this gift.
The Sikh who turns to the Guru receives it, the one on whom the Creator looks with kindness.
The gain that keeps its value forever is the one freely given.
The Naam is a gain that grows day and night, and it comes as a gift.
Ahinis laahaa har naam paraapat: day and night, the profit is the Naam. Gur daataa dayvanhaar: the Guru is the Giver who gives it. Gurmukh sikh: the learner who turns to the Guru receives it under the nadar, the kind glance of the Creator. Think of a savings jar that someone else keeps filling while you sleep.
