In plain words

Only You know what You are worth.

You Yourself understand; You Yourself speak, and You Yourself listen.

Your devotees are the ones who are pleasing to You.

Nanak says: I give myself to them, forever.

Some things are so vast that only they can know their own size.
The deeper layer

Only the One knows the One's own worth, and those who please the One are the devotees.

Tayree keemat toohai jaaneh means only You know Your own value. It is like trying to measure the ocean with a teacup. Too aapay boojheh sun aap vakaaneh: You Yourself understand, listen and speak. The One is both the one speaking and the one listening.

Say-ee bhagat jo tudh bhaanay means the devotees are the ones who please You. Closeness lives in being in tune with the One's will. Japji Sahib calls this mannai: trusting and following from the inside. Naanak tin kai sad kurbaanay: Nanak gives his whole heart to such people, always.

A Question to Sit With

Who are the people whose calm you would most like to be near?
