The most worthy beings sing God's Praises in beautiful harmonies, in all sorts of ways, in myriads of sublime forms. ||1||

Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa

In plain words

In sweet and lovely tunes, the good ones sing the One's praise in many, many ways, showing beautiful forms of every kind.

There are a thousand ways to love and praise.
The deeper layer

The One is praised in endless ways and endless forms.

Dhunit lalit means with sweet, lovely sound. Gun-ga-y are those full of goodness. Anik bhaant baho bidh roop dikhaavanee neekee: in many kinds of ways, they show beautiful forms. The One takes endless forms, so the One is praised in endless ways.

Think of a birthday. One friend sings, one draws a card, one bakes a cake. Each gift is different, and all say the same thing. In the same way, many traditions and languages sing about the same One, each in its own beautiful way.

A Question to Sit With

What is your own favorite way to show something that you love it?
