O All-powerful One, beyond all reach, whole and perfect —
please pour Your mercy over me.
What is beyond your reach can still pour its kindness right onto you.
The One is beyond our reach, and yet pours kindness right onto us.
Hay samrath agam pooran: O samrath, all-powerful; agam, beyond reach; pooran, whole and complete. The One is far beyond us and very near at the same time. It is a gentle puzzle, like the sun: far away, yet warm on your face.
Mohi ma-i-aa Dhaar: pour Your mercy on me. This is the rain-prayer of Raag Malaar once more. Grace is asked for the way dry fields ask for rain.
