In plain words

The sweet nectar rains down always; those who understand, understand it.

Those who follow the Guru and understand keep the One's nectar held close in their hearts.

They drink the One's nectar and stay dyed in love forever; they have beaten their ego and their endless thirst.

The Naam of the One is the nectar; the One is kind, and it rains down.

Nanak says: the one who follows the Guru comes to see the One, the Soul of all.

The nectar is always raining — the only question is whether you catch it.
The deeper layer

The sweet rain of the Naam never stops falling; a heart that understands catches it.

Amrit sadaa varasdaa: the nectar rains always. Boojhan boojhanhaar: those who understand, understand. The rain is the same for everyone; what changes is whether we notice it and hold it.

Ha-umai trisnaa maar: those who drink it overcome ha-umai, ego, and trisnaa, endless thirst for more. They do it by being rang raatay, dyed in love. Think of a bucket left out in the rain. Turn it upright, and it fills.

A Question to Sit With

What good thing is already all around you, waiting to be noticed?
