Malaar is a cooling song. When you keep the One in mind, peace comes.
When the dear One is kind, the rain falls on everyone in the world.
When the rain comes, every creature finds a way to live, and the earth puts on her green clothes.
Nanak says: this whole world is water; everyone came from water.
By the Guru's grace, a rare person understands this, and that person is free forever.
Malaar is the cooling raag, and grace falls like rain on everyone, so all life can grow.
A salok of the Third Mehl. Seetal raag: the cooling raga. Jag sabh jal, the world is all water: rain, and so grace, is the shared source of all life. The few who understand this through the Guru are mukat, free, for good.
