In plain words

O Baba, my mind is caught in such a tricky trap.

Ride out the churning waves of the storm, and a natural, easy wisdom will light it up.

Ride out the storm steadily, and a calm, natural wisdom dawns.
The deeper layer

Ride out the storm in your mind, and a calm, natural wisdom dawns.

This is the rahaa-o, the pause line, the center of the shabad. Baabaa aisaa bikham jaal man vaasi-aa: Baba, such a treacherous net has settled in my mind. Bibal jhaag sahj pargaasi-aa, riding out the churning foam and waves, one is lit up by sahj, natural, easy wisdom. Hard times can teach: weathering the storm steadily is how the calm wisdom of sahj dawns. The storm is not the end of the story.

A Question to Sit With

What helps you stay steady when your feelings feel like a storm?
