In plain words

On one side of the scale, pile up worlds below and worlds beyond, hundreds of thousands, millions of them.

O my Beloved, Your worth could be weighed only if something else could be set on the other side.

Stack up every world you can imagine, and the One still cannot be weighed.
The deeper layer

Pile up every world there is, and still nothing can be set on the scale to weigh the One.

The pauri builds a cosmic scale: paataal puree-aa (the nether realms and worlds) heaped up in the laakh karorh (hundreds of thousands, tens of millions). Tayray laal keemat taa pavai says Your worth, Beloved, could only be priced jaan sirai hoveh hor, if something else could be set on the opposite pan. Since nothing can, the divine is simply immeasurable. This is wonder by way of impossibility: every attempt at describing runs out before the One. Laal means both "beloved" and "ruby," so the Beloved is itself the priceless jewel that outweighs every world.

A Question to Sit With

How do you describe something that is too big to measure?
