In plain words

Those who turn toward the Guru praise the One, and by praising, they come to know the One.

Doubt and the feeling of "two" are gone from inside them. Through the Guru's Word, they recognize the One.

Loving something is how you come to know it.
The deeper layer

Praise the One with love, and you come to know the One, while doubt and the feeling of being split fall away.

Salaahi har jaataa means "praising the Lord, they knew the Lord." Praise here is not flattery. It is love spoken out loud. And love is a way of knowing.

Think of a friend you've had for years. You don't know them from a list of facts. You know them because you care about them and spend time with them.

As that love grows, two things fade. Bharam means doubt. Doojaa means "the second," the feeling that there is me over here and a separate world over there. That feeling of being cut off is haumai, the "I, me, mine" voice. When it is seen through, it simply falls away.

A Question to Sit With

Is there something you understand better because you love it?
