The One made all the many shapes and colors, created the world, and set it going like a play.
Making it, the One watches over it. The One acts and makes everything act, and gives food to every living being.
The One made the whole world like a great play, and still feeds everyone in it.
The shabad calls creation khayl, a play or a game. The One sets it up baho rangee, in many colors and shapes. Then the One watches it.
The wonder is that the One does not start it and walk away. It is not like winding up a toy and leaving the room. The same One who made all these forms keeps them going. Sarab jee-aa no rijak dee-aa: the One gives food to every living being.
When you look at how much variety there is in the world, what fills you with wonder?
