Come, O Saints: let us join together, O Siblings of Destiny; let us meet and chant the Name of the Lord, Har, Har.

How am I to find my God? Please bless me with the Gift of the Lord's Teachings. ||2||

Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa

In plain words

Come, saints, my brothers and sisters, let us meet. Together, let us speak the Naam of the One, Har, Har.

How, in what way, can I find my Lord? Please teach me; give me the gift of the One's teaching.

The search is easier and sweeter together.
The deeper layer

Seek the One together with others, and ask honestly to be taught.

Aavhu sant, come, saints, is an invitation to gather: the Sangat, people gathered together to remember the One. The verse models honest seeking. The singer openly asks how to find the One (kit biDh ki-o paa-ee-ai) and asks for teaching as a gift (updays har daan). There is no pretending to have arrived.

A Question to Sit With

Who could you turn toward something good alongside, and what would you ask them to teach you?
