I sing the Glorious Praises of God, my Inaccessible Lord and Master; singing His Praises, I am enraptured.

The Guru has showered His Mercy on servant Nanak; in an instant, He blessed him with the Gift of the Lord's Name. ||4||1||

Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa

In plain words

I sing the praises of my Lord and Master, who is beyond all reach. Singing them, I am filled with wonder.

Nanak says: the Guru showed kindness to me, the One's servant, and in an instant gave me the gift of the Naam of the One.

What can't be reached by effort is given freely, in an instant.
The deeper layer

The One is beyond all reach, and the Guru gives the Naam in an instant.

The closing holds a paradox the raag loves: the One is agam (unreachable, beyond grasp), yet the gift of the Naam is given khin, in an instant, in the blink of an eye. What cannot be reached by effort is handed over freely by grace.

A Question to Sit With

What is something that took no time at all to change your whole day?
