Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa

In plain words

Serving the One brings glory to the One's servant. Wild wanting, anger and greed are wiped away.

Your Naam is the treasure Your servant keeps.

Singing Your praises, I am in love with seeing You.

When love grows inside you, the grabbing and the anger quietly lose their grip.
The deeper layer

Serving the One loosens wanting, anger and greed, and the Naam becomes your inner treasure.

"Kaam krodh lobh" (desire, anger, greed) are named plainly as things that shrink when love grows — knots that come untied. "Bhandaar" is a treasure-house: the Naam as inner wealth. "Daras piaar" is love of the darshan, the sight of the divine.

A Question to Sit With

What is something you treasure that you cannot hold in your hands?
