Chant the Name of the Lord, Har, Har, O my Siblings of Destiny.

All sickness and sin shall be erased; your mind shall be rid of the darkness of ignorance. ||1||Pause||
Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa
Remember the Naam of the One, Har, Har, my brothers and sisters.
All sickness and all wrongs will be wiped away, and the darkness of not-knowing will leave your mind, like fog burning away at sunrise.
Keeping something true in mind can lift the fog off your thinking like sunrise.
Remembering the Naam wipes away sickness and wrongs, and the darkness of not-knowing leaves your mind.
This is the rahao, the pause line, the center of the shabad. "Bhaa-ee" (siblings) is the egalitarian address — everyone family. "Agi-aan anDhayraa" (the darkness of ignorance) "jaa-ee," departs; dawn imagery is especially fitting for Raag Prabhaatee, the raag of daybreak.
