I give myself forever to that Guru, by whose grace I remember the Naam of the One.
By great good fortune, such a Guru is found. Meeting the Guru, you are tuned in love to the One, the way a string tunes to a note.
Meeting the right teacher can tune your whole self, like a string tuning to a note.
Meeting the Guru is a gift of great good fortune, and it tunes your whole self to the One.
"Bal jaa-ee" is the gratitude idiom. "Vadbhaagee" (great good fortune) makes the Guru's finding grace, not achievement. "Raam liv laagee" (attuned to the Lord) gives the beautiful image of a life tuned like an instrument to a single note.
A Question to Sit With
Who has helped tune you toward being your best self? How did they do it?
