In plain words

Someone may have no beauty, no high place in society, no fine words to speak, no strength in the body.

Meeting the True Guru, that person finds the pure One, and makes a home in Your Naam.

The door to the One was never about your looks, status, or family.
The deeper layer

Anyone can reach the One, whatever their looks, their family or their words.

jaa kai roop naahee jaat naahee naahee mukh maasaa — someone with no beauty, no high birth, no fine speech, no strong body. In Guru Nanak's time, people were sorted by jaat, or caste, the family group you were born into. Some were told the door to the One was closed to them. Guru Nanak says the door is open to everyone.

satgur milay niranjan paa-i-aa — meeting the true Guru, that person finds the Niranjan, the pure One with no stain. Then they live inside the Naam.

Think of a club that asks for nothing to join. No resume, no grades, no photo. You just show up, and you are welcome. That is how this door works. Your worth was never about what the world counts.

A Question to Sit With

Have you ever felt you had to prove you were good enough? What if you already were?
