Bathing in the dust of the feet of the Saints, Nanak is blessed with countless comforts. ||2||2||15||

Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa

In plain words

Bow down to the One who keeps you safe; in your mind, love and remember the One alone.

Nanak says: I bathe in the dust of the saints' feet, and I am blessed with countless comforts.

Humbly learning from holy people opens the door to countless quiet comforts.
The deeper layer

Bow to the One who keeps you safe, and learn humbly from holy people.

Namaskaar rakhanhaar: bow to the Protector. Then man araaDh parabhoo mayk: love and remember the One alone. Everything points to oneness.

Next comes sant rayn kara-o majan: I bathe in the dust of the saints' feet. That is a picture of deep humility. It means being glad to learn from holy people, like a new player listening closely to the team's best. It does not mean putting yourself down. And the result is sukh anayk: countless comforts.

A Question to Sit With

What is one thing you could learn from someone if you approached them humbly and openly?
