Verse 7 of 9

Lifted into the One's own state

ਸਤਿਗੁਰਿ ਦੀਏ ਮੁਕਤਿ ਧਿਆਨਾਂ ॥
satgur dee-ay mukat Dhi-aanaaN.
Those whom the True Guru blesses with liberation and meditation
ਹਰਿ ਪਦੁ ਚੀਨ੍ਹ੍ਹਿ ਭਏ ਪਰਧਾਨਾ ॥੬॥
har pad cheeneh bha-ay parDhaanaa. ||6||
realize the Lord's State, and become sublime. ||6||

Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa

In plain words

The True Guru blesses some with freedom and deep meditation.

They come to know the state of the One, and they are lifted high.

To be lifted high is to know, from the inside, the state of the One.
The deeper layer

Some people are lifted up from the inside.

The verse says satgur dee-ay mukat: the True Guru gives freedom, along with deep meditation. Then har pad cheeneh bha-ay parDhaanaa: they know the One's state and become the highest. But this is an inner lift, not a job title or a trophy.

It is like a kite rising when the wind catches it. The kite does not climb by its own effort. The blessing is given and recognized. It is not won by climbing.

A Question to Sit With

What does it feel like to be quietly lifted up, not by winning, but by understanding?
