ਭੂਖ ਪਿਆਸਾ ਜਗੁ ਭਇਆ ਤਿਪਤਿ ਨਹੀ ਬਿਨੁ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਪਾਏ ॥

Merging intuitively in the Celestial Lord, peace is obtained, and one goes to the Lord's Court wearing robes of honor. ||4||

In plain words

The whole world has grown hungry and thirsty, and without the True Guru it is never full.

Sinking naturally into the One, a person finds peace and goes to the One's court dressed in robes of honor.

The world's restless hunger finally settles into ease when true guidance is found.
The deeper layer

The world is always hungry for more, and true guidance brings ease.

The verse says bhookh pi-aasaa jag bha-i-aa: the whole world has become hungry and thirsty. Without the True Guru, it is never satisfied. Think of scrolling a feed. There is always one more video, and you never feel full.

Then sahjai sahj milai sukh paa-ee-ai. Sahaj means natural ease, like breathing without trying. Sinking into that ease, one finds peace. That is where the hunger settles. And dargeh paiDhaa jaa-ay: one goes to the One's court dressed in honor. It means being welcomed with honor into the One's presence.

A Question to Sit With

What is a hunger inside you that no amount of stuff seems to fill?
