Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa

In plain words

Turning my mind again and again to the One, Har, Har, I have found peace.

We who serve You come to the shelter of Your feet.

Turning to the One again and again, you find the peace you missed.
The deeper layer

Turning to the One again and again brings peace, and the safest place is close to the One's feet.

This is the rahaa-o, the "pause" line, the center of the shabad. The other verses open it up.

Raam ramat har har sukh paa-i-aa means turning my mind to the One again and again, I found peace.

Tayray daas charan sarnaa-i-aa means Your servants come to the shelter of Your feet. To be at someone's feet here means to be close and safe. Think of a little kid sitting right beside a parent in a crowded room. From there, nothing feels scary.

All the verses that follow describe what that safe closeness feels like.

A Question to Sit With

What do you return to again and again when you need peace?
