In plain words

My mind has been pierced straight through by love for the Lord of the World, the way a needle passes through cloth.

My One is present everywhere, in every place.

The One you long for is spread through everything, everywhere.
The deeper layer

Love for the One can go straight through your heart, and that One is present everywhere.

This is the rahaa-o, the "pause" line, the center of the shabad. Namdev keeps coming back to it. BayDhee-alay gopaal gosaa-ee means "I have been pierced through by the Lord of the world." Gopaal means the one who cares for the world.

Pierced sounds sharp, but think of a needle pulling thread through cloth. The thread goes all the way through, and then it holds everything together. Namdev loves this picture of a love that goes all the way through you and leaves no part untouched.

The next line answers the natural question: where is this Beloved? Mayraa parabh ravi-aa sarbay thaa-ee means "my One is present in every place." The love is total, and the presence is total. There is no corner of the world where the One is not.

A Question to Sit With

Where have you felt that something bigger was present with you?
