In plain words

Tasting such sweet nectar, my mind stays satisfied and full.

Nanak says: my hopes have come true; I have found shelter with the Guru.

Taste this nectar, and the endless craving quietly stops.
The deeper layer

Once the heart tastes this sweetness, it is finally full.

Aisaa ras amrit man chaakhi-aa — the mind has tasted this sweet nectar. Taripat rahay aaghaa-ee — it stays satisfied and full. The endless craving for more comes to rest. Think of a long, hungry day that ends with a warm home-cooked meal. You sit back, happy, and want nothing else.

Kaho naanak mayree aasaa pooree — says Nanak, my hope has come true. It came true satgur kee sarnaa-ee, in the shelter of the True Guru.

A Question to Sit With

What's something that leaves you satisfied, not wanting more?
