God has made me His own, and vanquished all my enemies.

jin bairee hai ih jag looti-aa tay bairee lai baaDhay. ||1||
Those enemies who have plundered this world, have all been placed in bondage. ||1||

Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa

In plain words

God has made me God's own and overcome all my enemies.

The enemies who have been robbing this whole world are all tied up now.

The things that used to boss you around lose their grip when you're held by the One.
The deeper layer

Angeekaar kee-aa — the One has made me His own. The bairee, the "enemies," are the inner troublemakers: anger, greed, and restlessness that once plundered our peace. To say they are "bound" is to say they have simply lost their grip.

A Question to Sit With

What feeling sometimes "robs" you of your calm — and what helps tame it?
