sayvak laa-i-o apunee sayv.
He has linked His servant to His service.
ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤੁ ਨਾਮੁ ਦੀਓ ਮੁਖਿ ਦੇਵ ॥

The Divine Guru has poured the Ambrosial Naam, the Name of the Lord, into his mouth.

He has subdued all his anxiety.

I am forever a sacrifice to that Guru. ||1||

Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa

In plain words

The One has given me, a servant, work to do in service.

The Divine Guru has placed the sweet Naam in my mouth.

All my worry, the Guru has taken away.

I give my whole self to that Guru, always.

Service and the Naam quiet your worry.
The deeper layer

Sayvak laa-i-o apunee sayv — linked to service; amrit naam dee-o mukh — the Name placed in the mouth. Saglee chintaa aap nivaaree — all anxiety dissolved. Good work and something true to hold are what quiet the worry.

A Question to Sit With

What kind of "good work" makes your worries shrink?
