Wherever I Look, the Kind One

naa kichh bharam na dubiDhaa doojaa.
He has no doubt, double-mindedness or duality at all.
ayko ayk niranjan poojaa.
He worships and adores the One Immaculate Lord alone.
jat kat daykh-a-u aap da-i-aal.
Wherever I look, I see the Merciful Lord.
kaho naanak parabh milay rasaal. ||4||4||15||
Says Nanak, I have found God, the source of nectar. ||4||4||15||

Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa

In plain words

No doubt, no feeling split in two, no other at all.

Only the One, the Pure One, is worshipped.

Wherever I look, I see the Merciful One.

Nanak says: I have met the One, the source of all sweetness.

When the split inside heals, you see kindness everywhere you look.
The deeper layer

Naa kichh bharam na dubiDhaa doojaa — no doubt, no split, no duality; ayko ayk niranjan poojaa — the pure One alone at the center. Jat kat dekh-a-u aap da-i-aal — wherever I look, the Merciful; rasaal — the source of nectar.

A Question to Sit With

What helps you feel whole instead of pulled in two directions?
