Servant Nanak is a sacrifice to that person who sings the Glorious Praises of the Lord of the Universe, twenty-four hours a day. ||2||64||87||

Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa

In plain words

Whoever the One touches with kindness — that is the person who ends up singing Your praises.

Nanak says: all day and all night they sing of the One, and my heart bows in thanks to anyone who lives like that.

Even the love you give back begins as a gift you were given.
The deeper layer

Even the singing is grace: the One blesses, and the praise flows out.

Jaa ka-o kirpaa karahu — whoever You bless — so har kaa jas gaavai, that one sings the praise of the One. Aath pahar, all eight watches of the day, means a whole life lived in praise. Jan naanak sad bal jaavai — Nanak bows gladly to such a person.

A Question to Sit With

Who is someone whose way of living makes you want to be more like them?
