In plain words

This is the way holy people live: they listen to songs of praise and keep the Master in mind.

They plant the One's lotus feet deep in their heart, and that worship holds up every breath they take.

A steady inner practice can become the support of every breath.
The deeper layer

Holy people listen, they remember, and the One becomes the ground under every breath.

Aachaar means way of life. This one has two parts. Sarvanee keertan means listening with your ears to songs of praise. Simran means keeping the One in mind.

Charan kamal means lotus feet, a loving picture of the One's presence. Asthit rid antar means planted firmly in the heart.

Then devotion becomes paraan ko aaDhaar, the support of the breath. It is not one more activity squeezed into the day. It is the ground everything else stands on, like the floor under a house.

A Question to Sit With

What is a small daily practice that helps hold your day together?
