In plain words

You who are kind to the lowly and the humble — please hear my prayer, and pour Your kindness over me.

Let my tongue keep speaking the treasure of the Naam, every day.

Nanak says: I give myself to You, always.

Grace leans toward the humble and the overlooked.
The deeper layer

A simple prayer to the One who is kind to the humble: hear me, and keep the Naam on my tongue.

Deen da-i-aal means kind to the humble and the poor. It is a tender reminder that grace leans toward the overlooked, like a teacher who notices the quiet kid in the back.

The prayer is simple: sunhu baynantee, hear my request. Then naam niDhaan uchara-o nit rasnaa: let my tongue keep speaking the treasure of the Name, every day.

Balihaar means offering yourself completely. Here it is a full, grateful heart giving itself gladly.

A Question to Sit With

When have you seen kindness go first to the person who needed it most?
