ਕਰਿ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਰਾਖੇ ਦਾਸ ਅਪਨੇ ਜੀਅ ਜੰਤ ਵਸਿ ਜਾ ਕੈ ॥
kar kirpaa raakhay daas apnay jee-a jant vas jaa kai.
In His Mercy, He protects His slave; all beings and creatures are in His Power.
ਏਕਾ ਲਿਵ ਪੂਰਨ ਪਰਮੇਸੁਰ ਭਉ ਨਹੀ ਨਾਨਕ ਤਾ ਕੈ ॥੨॥੭੩॥੯੬॥
aykaa liv pooran parmaysur bha-o nahee naanak taa kai. ||2||73||96||
One who is lovingly attuned to the One, the Perfect Transcendent Lord God, O Nanak, is rid of all fear. ||2||73||96||

In kindness, the One keeps safe those who belong to it — every living creature rests in its care.
Nanak says: whoever loves the One, the perfect Lord, with a single heart has nothing left to fear.
When you know you are held, fear loses its grip.
Everything gathers into safety: kar kirpaa raakhay daas apnay, the One protects those who belong to it, and jee-a jant vas jaa kai, all beings rest in its care. From aykaa liv, single-hearted love for the pooran parmaysur, the perfect One, comes bha-o nahee, no fear left. Fearlessness here is the calm of one who knows they are held.
