Singing the Glorious Praises of the Lord of the Universe in the Saadh Sangat, the Company of the Holy, all my illusions are dispelled. ||1||

In plain words

The One is my mother and my father and my closest relative, all at once. My mind lights up with delight just resting in that.

And when I sing the praises of the One in the Sangat, the foggy illusions that used to confuse me — the ones that made me feel small or separate — clear away.

The One holds every belonging you need — and delighting in that clears the fog of feeling separate.
The deeper layer

maat pitaa bandhap — mother, father, kin: every protecting, belonging role gathered into the One. ahilaad is delight, joy. binsi-o sabh parmaad means all illusion is dispelled, and parmaad is the confusion of thinking oneself separate — the root of haumai. Sung together, that fog of separateness lifts through the joy of remembering.

saaDhsang is the Sangat — people gathered together to remember the One.

A Question to Sit With

What illusions about yourself tend to clear away when you are singing or creating alongside other people?
