Servant Nanak has taken the Support of the One Lord. He shall not wander in reincarnation ever again. ||2||94||117||

In plain words

I feel wrapped around the One like a thread wound snugly around something it loves — held close, not going anywhere. And in that closeness, my doubt and my fear are simply used up, like fog burning off in the sun.

Nanak says: I have taken hold of the One as my one steady support, and it is enough. I will not wander from life to life again.

Wound close to the One like a loving thread, doubt and fear quietly burn away.
The deeper layer

doree lapat rahee charnah sang is the thread wound around the feet: an image of loving, willing attachment, the opposite of anxious clinging. When doubt (bhram) and fear (bhai) are khaad, consumed, they simply burn up in that nearness. ek adhaar, the one support, is the settled resting place that ends the soul’s wandering.

A Question to Sit With

What is the one steady support you can hold onto when you feel lost or afraid?
