Gazing upon the Embodiment of Ecstasy, I rise to the Mansion of His Presence. ||1||
Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa
By serving the saints, I hold my Beloved quietly in my heart and keep the One in my thoughts.
And when I catch sight of the One who is joy itself, I step into a home that was inside me all along.
The home you are looking for was inside you all along.
The palace we are looking for is inside us.
Mahal means a mansion or palace. But it is not a place you travel to. It is the home found within, once you glimpse the aanand roop, the One who is joy itself.
Think of putting on glasses for the first time. Nothing in the room moved, but suddenly everything is clear. Serving holy people is what clears our eyes enough to see.
A Question to Sit With
Where do you feel most completely at home in yourself?
