In plain words

When I quieted my grabbing, restless mind, I saw a clean and peaceful place inside, and I was soaked through with the One's sweetness.

Now I know no other. There is just the One — and this is what the Guru helped me see.

Quiet the grabbing mind, and a clean stillness appears.
The deeper layer

When the grabbing mind grows quiet, a clean, peaceful place opens inside. Then there is only the One.

Manoo-aa maar means bringing the restless mind under control. It is about quieting the mind's grabbing, not hurting anything. Nirmal pad cheeni-aa means I came to know the pure state. Think of a snow globe after it has been shaken. Set it down, and the flakes settle until you can see clearly.

The verse says I know no other but the One. This is not a narrow view. It is finding that everything is the One, showing up in countless ways. Satgur boojh bujhaa-ee means the True Guru gave this understanding.

A Question to Sit With

What helps you quiet your mind when it will not stop grabbing at things?
