In plain words

Those who sit with the Word are colored through with love, and their pride and endless wanting grow quiet.

Deep inside them shines the pure, unattached One — the same One living in every heart, in everything that exists.

The One you seek inside yourself is inside everyone else too.
The deeper layer

Those who sit with the Word lose their pride and endless wanting, and find the One inside every heart.

Sabad veechaar means thinking deeply about the Word. Such people are rang raatay, colored through with love.

Ha-umai is ego, the sense of being separate. Tarisnaa is craving, always wanting more. Both grow quiet. Think of a thirst that finally goes away once you drink real water.

Antar nihkayval means the pure, unattached One lives within. Sabh aatam raam means the One is the soul inside everyone. This is Ik Onkar, "One Creator," up close: not a faraway god, but the same reality in every heart, yours and your neighbor's.

A Question to Sit With

How might you treat people differently if the same One lived inside each of them?
