Those who understand the Lord's Court, never suffer separation from him. The True Guru has imparted this understanding.

In plain words

Those who sense the nearness of the One never feel torn away from it — the Guru planted this understanding in them.

They live by truth, gentle self-control, and good, honest deeds, and their restless coming and going comes to rest.

When you sense how near the One is, you never feel apart.
The deeper layer

Those who sense the One close by stay steady, and their restless coming and going stops.

Jinh dar soojhai — those who understand the One's dar, the One's court or presence. Say kaday na vigaarheh — they are never torn away. It is a settled feeling that nothing outside can spoil. Satgur boojh bujhaa-ee — the True Guru gave them this understanding.

Sach sanjam karnee means truth, gentle self-control, and good deeds. These are what a heart lined up with the One looks like from the outside. Aavan jaan rahaa-ee — their coming and going is over.

Think of a boat tied safely at the dock. The water still moves, but the boat stays where it belongs.

A Question to Sit With

What helps you feel close to something even when it is not right in front of you?
