Both the Tiny and the Vast

anik puree-aa anik tah khand.
Many solar systems, many galaxies.
anik roop rang barahmand.
Many forms, colors and celestial realms.
anik banaa anik fal mool.
Many gardens, many fruits and roots.
aapeh sookham aapeh asthool. ||8||
He Himself is mind, and He Himself is matter. ||8||

Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa

In plain words

Countless worlds, countless star-fields, countless shapes and colors. Countless gardens, countless fruits, countless roots hidden in the soil.

The One is the tiniest thing you cannot even see, and the One is the vastest thing too big to imagine. Both at once — it is all of it.

The One is both the tiniest thing you cannot see and the vastest thing you cannot imagine.
The deeper layer

puri, khand, brahmand — realms, continents, galaxies; forms and colors; gardens, fruits, roots. Then aapeh sookham aapeh asthool: the One is both the sookham, the subtle unseen, and the asthool, the vast seen — smaller than sight and larger than imagining, at the very same time.

A Question to Sit With

Can something be both very small and very big at the same time? Where have you seen that?
