In plain words

There is only One. And the One is found by the True Guru's grace — a gift that is always here, waiting for an open heart.

O mind, why do you wander into the tangled woods that lead you astray?

You have been tricked into eating something that dazes you, and you have lost your way.

When your seeing goes cloudy, the way back is toward what is clear.
The deeper layer

Concern comes first, not scolding. Bikhi-aa ban (the tangled woods that lead astray) and thagmooree (a dazing drink) are a wood one wanders into and a clouding over the eyes: states to come back from.

A Question to Sit With

What kinds of things pull your attention into a tangle you later regret?
