ਕਾਮ ਕ੍ਰੋਧ ਤ੍ਰਿਸਨਾ ਅਤਿ ਜਰੈ ॥
kaam kroDh tarisnaa at jarai.
He burns in tremendous sexual desire, unresolved anger and desire.
ਸਾਧਸੰਗਤਿ ਕਬਹੂ ਨਹੀ ਕਰੈ ॥
saaDhsangat kabhoo nahee karai.
He never joins the Saadh Sangat, the Company of the Holy.
ਕਹਤ ਨਾਮਦੇਉ ਤਾ ਚੀ ਆਣਿ ॥
kahat naamday-o taa chee aan.
Says Naam Dayv, seek God's Shelter;
ਨਿਰਭੈ ਹੋਇ ਭਜੀਐ ਭਗਵਾਨ ॥੪॥੧॥
nirbhai ho-ay bhajee-ai bhagvaan. ||4||1||
be fearless, and vibrate on the Lord God. ||4||1||

When wanting and anger keep burning inside, and you never sit in the Sangat, life stays restless.
Naam Dayv says: take shelter in the One. Let fear fall away, and keep the One singing in your heart.
Fear cools and craving quiets when you rest in the One.
Craving and anger burn hot. They cool when you rest in the One and sit in the Sangat.
Saadhsangat is the Sangat — people gathered together to remember the One. Naam Dayv's close, be fearless and keep the One singing in your heart, turns the whole warning toward hope.
