Says Nanak, I sing the Songs of Joy; the Unstruck Word of the Shabad resounds within me. ||4||5||

In plain words

And then, when grace arrives, the One comes to live right inside me. The restless waiting turns into a deep, quiet calm, day and night.

Nanak says: now songs of joy pour out of me, and a music with no instrument — a melody that was always playing underneath everything — begins to sound in my heart.

Longing that is finally answered turns from restlessness into a quiet, singing peace.
The deeper layer

The union finally comes, and the restless longing of the opening becomes seetal — cool and at peace. The anaahad shabad, the "unstruck melody," is the sound of the divine heard within when the noise of separation quiets — a music not made by any hand. The bride's ache resolves into song.

A Question to Sit With

What does deep calm feel like in your body after a long wait is over?
