Eyes Filled With Love

ਭਗਤਹ ਦਰਸੁ ਦੇਖਿ ਨੈਨ ਰੰਗਾ ॥
bhagtah daras daykh nain rangaa.
Gazing upon the Blessed Vision, the Darshan of God's devotees, my eyes are filled with love.
ਲੋਭ ਮੋਹ ਤੂਟੇ ਭ੍ਰਮ ਸੰਗਾ ॥੩॥
lobh moh tootay bharam sangaa. ||3||
Greed and attachment are gone, along with doubt. ||3||

Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa

In plain words

Just looking at the people who love the One fills my eyes with warmth — love pours in simply from being near them.

And as it does, the grabby, worried feelings — the wanting-more, the clinging, the doubting — quietly lose their hold. Love crowds them out without a fight.

When love fills you, the grabby, worried feelings quietly lose their grip.
The deeper layer

The sight of the devotees fills the eyes with the color of love, and in that fullness greed, attachment, and doubt simply fall away. The tangles need no fight; they leave when love fills the space they occupied.

A Question to Sit With

What unhelpful feeling fades in you when your heart is full of love for something?
