In plain words

And then it happened — I saw the wonder of it all and stood amazed. The Guru, the True Guru, led me straight to the One.

Nanak says: I found my kind, loving Beloved right here, inside the home of my own heart. All that burning thirst I began with — it is finally, gently cooled. I am home.

The burning thirst you begin with can be cooled by finding the One already within.
The deeper layer

The long thirst of the rahau is quenched — the fire put out — and, as so often in these shabads, the Beloved is found not far away but within one's own home. Wonder at the divine's wondrous play marks the meeting. The seeker led by the Guru discovers that the One longed for was always within. Thirst resolves into homecoming.

A Question to Sit With

What does relief feel like after a long, deep wanting is finally answered?
