I have become fearless; O Nanak, my fears have been eradicated. Chanting the Word, I have found the Lord. ||2||7||30||

Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa

In plain words

The Guru drew my Beloved near, and now I share every moment with the One, freely and gladly.

Nanak says, I have become fearless and my fear is wiped away, because I have found the One.

Real love makes you fearless.
The deeper layer

The Guru drew the Beloved close, and now the seeker lives in unbroken nearness. The keyword is nirbhau, fearless — the very word from the opening verse of the Guru Granth Sahib. Bhau miti-aa, fear is erased, because the heart has found what it loves. Love casts out fear.

A Question to Sit With

When you feel loved and safe, how does your fear change?
