Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa

In plain words

I give my whole self for one sight of my dear One.

The sound of the Word fills my ears, and I settle softly into the lap of my Beloved.

To be held by the One is to feel completely safe and at home.
The deeper layer

Har jee-o kay darsan ka-o kurbaanee — I would give anything for a glimpse of the One. The bachan naad, the sound-current of the sacred Word, fills the ears, and the body ank samaanee — settles into the lap of the Beloved, the way a small child rests in a trusted embrace. To be held by the One is to be completely safe.

A Question to Sit With

Where or with whom do you feel so safe you can completely relax?
