The old mistakes washed away and my mind came clean and clear. The Guru reached in and pulled me out of the tricks and illusions that had tangled me.
Nanak says, I have found the One — the source behind everything, strong enough to make and hold the whole world.
The Guru pulled me out of the spell of passing things, and I found the One.
Kilvikh means faults or wrongs. Here they simply go. They are not punished. They are cleared, the way dirt washes off in the bath. Then the mind is nirmal, clean and clear.
Maa-i-aa, or Maya, is the shimmer of passing things. It fools us into thinking what passes will last forever. Gur kaadhay — the Guru reaches in and pulls us out of that spell.
Then the One is found. Karan kaaran samrath — the all-powerful Cause of all causes. That means the Source behind everything that happens. Think of waking up from a vivid dream and seeing your own room again, clear and real.
When have you felt suddenly clear inside after being confused or tangled up?
