In plain words

The Guru's word turned sweet in my mind, like a song I could not stop loving.

Something opened up and a light dawned inside me, and suddenly I could see the One shining in every single heart.

When the inner light dawns, you start to see the same light shining in everyone.
The deeper layer

Shabad... meethaa — the word grown sweet. Karam khuli-o — literally the opening of karma or grace, a sense of good fortune unlocking. And the fruit of it is a way of seeing: ghat ghat har har deethaa, the One beheld in every heart — the recognition that the same light lives in everyone.

A Question to Sit With

What would change about how you treat people if you could see a light shining in each one?
