In plain words

My beloved One, please bless me with Your Naam, the sweet nectar.

When a mind turns to the Guru and is content, the One sets all its work right.

Turn your heart fully toward the One, and it will help carry what you're carrying.
The deeper layer

Ask the One for the Naam, and your work is set right.

Har har amrit naam dayh pi-aaray — beloved One, give me the Naam, the amrit, the sweet nectar. The asking is open-handed, like a child holding out both hands.

Jin oopar gurmukh man maani-aa tin kay kaaj savaaray — when a mind turns to the Guru and is content, the One sets its tasks right. Think of a tangled kite string handed to someone with steady fingers. You stop pulling, and the knots come loose.

A Question to Sit With

What would you ask for if you could ask the One for anything?
