In plain words

O my mind, blessed is that day. Precious is that hour, and lucky is that very moment.

It is when the Guru fills you with wisdom, and something inside you finally wakes up.

The day something true finally wakes up inside you is a day worth more than a thousand ordinary ones.
The deeper layer

The moment your heart wakes up to the Guru's wisdom makes the whole day blessed.

This is the rahaa-o, the "pause" line, the center of the shabad. Dhan and parvaanaa mean blessed and approved, counted as truly worth it.

Guru Arjan stacks up time words. Dinas is the day. Gharee is the hour. Sanjog is the lucky moment. All of them point to one thing: gi-aan, the wisdom that wakes you up, given by the Guru.

Think of the moment a hard math problem finally clicks. Suddenly the whole lesson makes sense. One moment of really seeing can bless a whole life.

A Question to Sit With

Can you remember a moment when something suddenly clicked and you understood it for the first time?
